Community Collaboration with the Funk Heritage Center
Could your business or organization benefit from sponsoring a Funk Heritage Center program or publication?
The mission of the Funk Heritage Center of Reinhardt University is to tell the story of the early Appalachian Settlers and Southeastern Indians through educational programming and the collection, care and exhibition of art and artifacts. The Funk Heritage Center invites area businesses, non-profit organizations and local government to become partners. By offering financial support, large or small, a business can benefit from publicity in our newsletters, event programs and on our website! Local civic groups are also encouraged to make contributions to support the Funk Heritage Center. This educational and tourist attraction helps stimulate the local economy and provide valuable historical context to visitors from around the globe.
Become a Funk Heritage Center Sponsor
The Funk Heritage Center is presently raising funds to acquire artifacts excavated at the Canton Walmart site in 1995. This important piece of Cherokee County history is officially called the Hickory Log Collection. A plan has been developed to expand the museum so the artifacts can be effectively displayed.
Funk Heritage Sponsors are currently needed to:
- help preserve and exhibit this valuable collection
- sponsor a special event
- contribute to printing costs for a publication
