Tuesdays Alive - Living History Program
April 10 through May 1, 2007
Our living history program, will continue by reservation on Tuesday
morning beginning April 10 through May 1, 2007, for groups of 20 or
more visitors. It will be held in the Appalachian Settlement from 10 a.m. until
noon.
Visitors can see "living history" when historic interpreters dressed in period clothing
will demonstrate a variety of skills including quilting, woodworking
and butter churning. The interpreters will be located in our 1840s log cabins, syrup
mill, threshing barn and blacksmith shop. Guests will see how early
settlers lived and worked between 1840 and 1865.
No additional cost is charged for this special
program. Groups can tour the museum following the special program, and regular museum fees apply.
For more information about the program or to learn how
you can become a "living history" volunteer, contact Jenny Goldemund
at 770-720-5969 for information.
