Reinhardt Organization for Student Educators, ROSE, raised funds to buy books for the Feed My Lambs Daycare Center. Reinhardt students enjoyed sharing the new books with the children.
So you are considering teaching as a career. What a great profession! You have the opportunity to positively affect the lives of so many students and future community leaders. Talk to a teacher and ask what influence they have had on their students. You'll hear wonderful stories of how former students come up to these teachers and share how their lives are different because of the teacher's influence.
The Experienced Team Supporting You
At Reinhardt University all Price School of Education (PSOE) faculty join together to prepare our future teachers. You will benefit from the efforts of the total Reinhardt family and beyond. K-12 teachers collaborate with us to offer you guidance as you complete field experiences throughout your program of study. In your final field experience you will student teach in your area of specialization and prepare for your first classroom. The classroom teacher you work with will be vital in mentoring you as you experience day to day life as a teacher.
To give you the specialized training you will need to be successful in today's schools, we offer five majors. We prepare future teachers by the age group and subject they will teach.
- Early Childhood Education majors teach students from pre-kindergarten through grade 5. These teachers generally teach all subjects, with specialization in reading.
- Middle Grades Education majors are prepared to teach students grades 4 through 8. These future teachers choose two of these subject areas for specialization: English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Reading.
- Music Education majors are certified to teach all grades, from kindergarten through high school. All music education graduates are prepared to teach choral and instrumental classes.
- Biology, English Education and Mathematics are programs that focus on strong subject matter content so that their graduates are prepared to teach students grades 7 through 12. The courses in both programs are aligned to the grades 7-12 curriculum as specified in the Georgia Performance Standards.
Because for success Reinhardt education alumni have in the classroom, PSOE graduates are sought-after by school systems across the area.
