The School of Music is an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). This distinctive school offers you the opportunity to develop your full potential as a musician and be prepared for a variety of career choices.

Varied Programs

The School of Music offers several degree options which will prepare you to be a sound musician, whether you are in the concert hall, sanctuary, recording studio, or classroom. The School of Music offers several degree options:

Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in Performance
Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in Sacred Music
Bachelor of Music (B.M.) with Elective Studies in Business
Bachelor of Music (B.M.) with Elective Studies in Media Arts
Bachelor of Music Education (B.M.E.).

Bachelor of Music (B.M.) Degree

Students in the Bachelor of Music program may choose between concentrations in Performance or Sacred Music.

Performance: Prepares students for careers in concert, ensemble, music theater, or opera performance. While classical training is emphasized, the student will be well prepared to perform in a variety of styles and genres.
Sacred Music: Prepares students to direct church music programs including youth, adult, and handbell choirs and praise groups.
With Elective Studies in Business: Offers interdisciplinary preparation for a variety of careers in the exciting challenging world of entertainment. These programs can be designed to include a variety of specialized skills in technology, media arts, and management
With Elective Studies in Media Arts: Offers interdisciplinary preparation for a variety of careers in the exciting challenging world of entertainment. These programs can be designed to include a variety of specialized skills in technology, media arts, and management.

Many students with Bachelor of Music degrees choose to continue their studies by attending graduate school.

Bachelor of Music Education (B.M.E.) Degree

The Bachelor of Music Education degree prepares students to join the ranks of professional educators in the elementary and secondary schools of Georgia. The degree program leads to certification by the State of Georgia.

Exceptional Facility

Much of Reinhardt's music instruction takes place in the Falany Performing Arts Center or FPAC. You will enjoy performing, attending classes, practicing, and socializing in the beautiful facility. It also serves the College and the community as a center for artistic expression through the varied concerts, performances and events it hosts each year. This building contains:

Pianos - In 2007, the music department became a Kawai EPIC school with 34 state-of-the art pianos placed in studios, classrooms, practice rooms, and on the stage of the concert hall.
Concert Hall - The exquisite 360-seat auditorium features a "tunable" stage. Its acoustics can be modified by moving the wooden stage columns, the ceiling panels, and the curtains to complement the soloist, small ensemble, or orchestra. Because of its fine sound quality, the concert hall is an exciting place to perform.
Kawai music technology lab: has computerized keyboard stations for 12 students and an instructor.
