How many students are enrolled at Reinhardt?

 

1402 students enrolled at Reinhardt for fall 2013.  87% are undergraduates, 9% attend online.  About 57% of our Waleska students live in one of our ten residence halls.

What is the average class size?

The average freshman class has 16 students and a professor.  The largest classroom at Reinhardt seats 40 students so you won't be assigned to large auditorium-style classes.  Our faculty/staff ratio is 1:17. Back to Top


What is the male to female ratio?

For the first time in at least 20 years, Reinhardt has more male students than females.  We're 52% male; 48% female.

Where can I live on campus?

Reinhardt has ten residence halls that house 703 students.  This includes eight traditional residence halls and two apartment-style buildings.

What can I do for fun before or after class?

Reinhardt has more than 40 clubs and organizations, plus intercollegiate sports, service projects, intramurals, an amazing number of special programs like comedians and concerts, and annual events like dances and Halloween costume ball and trick or treating for the community...just to name a few.  You may find yourself having to pick and choose your activities because there's so much going on.

I like sports.  What's at Reinhardt for me?

Almost 30% of Reinhardt students play an intercollegiate sport. We compete in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (except where noted below) and play exciting and competitive teams from schools like Point University, SCAD Atlanta, Milligan, Truett-McConnell and Tennessee Wesleyan.  

Reinhardt intercollegiate sports include:

  • men's and women's basketball
  • men's and women's soccer
  • men's and women's cross country
  • men's and women's golf
  • men's and women's tennis
  • men's and women's lacrosse (compete as part of Southeastern Lacrosse Conference Southwest Division)
  • men's baseball
  • men's football - (compete as a member of the Mid-South conference)
  • women's volleyball
  • women's softball

Co-ed cheerleading is also offered.

If you're interested in playing a sport, but not on the intercollegiate level, be sure to check out intramurals.

We also have lots of opportunities to stay fit including weekday fitness classes, a fitness area, and on-campus trails for biking and hiking.

What Reinhardt scholarships are available?

Reinhardt offers many scholarships each year to new students including Academic Scholarships and Achievement Scholarships. 

Athletic, performing arts (music and theater), United Methodist, transfer, honors and Deans' scholarships are also available.

Is Reinhardt accredited?

Reinhardt is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award associate, baccalaureate and master's degree programs.  For accreditation information, please contact SACS at 404-679-4500 or 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Ga., 30033.

The School of Performing Arts is an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM).

Reinhardt University's Price School of Education is approved by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission to offer programs of certification in Early Childhood Education, Middle Grades Education, secondary English/Language Arts Education, secondary Biology Education, secondary Mathematics Education and Music Education.

The University Senate of the United Methodist Church has approved Reinhardt University to be listed as a United Methodist-affiliated institution.

 I missed all the scheduled admissions events, and I'm a high school senior interested in Reinhardt.  How can I see the campus?

  
We run campus tours all year round - every weekday - Monday through Friday - at 11 a.m. or 3 p.m.  These tours are great opportunities for you and your parents to see the campus and get all your questions answered!  Please call the admissions office or make an online reservation, if possible.
