Dr. John S. Yelvington, CPA
Assistant Professor of Economics Program Coordinator for the B.S. in Business Administration
Dr. Yelvington is the program coordinator for the McCamish School of Business and assistant professor of economics at Reinhardt University, where he has served on the faculty since 2001. Prior to teaching full-time, he worked for several large companies and handled a variety of accounting and economic responsibilities, such as pricing, cost analysis, and corporate and management accounting.
As prior MBA Program Coordinator, this is what he has to say about Reinhardt's Advantage MBA program:
"As with any other MBA, we teach the underlying academic theories in each respective discipline, but what sets Reinhardt's MBA apart is the way that we critique and evaluate these theories and the way we link these theories to your workplace success."
"You can get an MBA anywhere, but show me an MBA faculty with as much practical experience as we have. The three 'academic pillars' of our MBA program all have their doctorates and have a combined total of 85 years of work experience outside of teaching in a complementary set of disciplines that optimize our effectiveness in the classroom. I am proud of the program we have built, and our students attest to the level of learning they have achieved thus far. I personally assure you that Reinhardt's MBA faculty is committed to maintaining a current, practical curriculum."
