Anjali Enjeti

Anjali Enjeti is an award-winning essayist, literary critic, and board member of the National Book Critics Circle. Her work has appeared in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Pacific Standard, Longreads, Vice, NPR, NBC, The Guardian, The New York Times, Washington Post, the Star Tribune, Atlanta Magazine, and elsewhere. Her essay, “Borderline,” which received first place in the 2015 Prime Number Magazine creative nonfiction contest, was named a notable essay in Best American Essays 2016. Her essay, “Identity Lost and Found,” won an honorable mention from the American Society of Journalists and Authors.

She received a B.S. in Psychology from Duke University, a J.D. from Washington University School of Law, and a MFA in creative writing at Queens University in Charlotte. She has been awarded residencies at The Hambidge Center, Rivendell Writers’ Colony, and Wildacres. She lives near Atlanta.
