The Reinhardt University family gathered Tuesday to remember those in the University community who have gone from this Earth in the past year. More than 50 attended the service of remembrance and hope held at the new Cascading Ponds Patio at Lake Mullenix. The service was led by the Rev. Timothy J.   04/21/2017 Reinhardt business students bound for nationals
Reinhardt University’s Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda students did it again and will represent the University this summer at the National Leadership Convention in Anaheim, California. In addition, Reinhardt University Trustee Kevin Williams was named the Business Person of the Year, Kristen Holder was awarded the Who’s Who in PBL and Ethan Alexander was named the Outstanding PBL Member of the Year.     Read More >>

  04/13/2017 ‘Joan McFather Studio’ named in new Reinhardt theater building
Joan McFather, a longtime supporter of the arts, member of the Falany Performing Arts Center Advisory Board and a member of the Board of Trustees at Reinhardt University, has given $75,000 to fund the Joan McFather Studio in the theater building under construction on the university campus in Waleska. “Since becoming involved with the Falany Performing Arts Center, I have felt that Reinhardt needed a genuine theater. Not that the FPAC isn't one of the finest performance halls in the Southeast – it certainly is, but a good theater requires more,” McFather said. “It needs rehearsal halls, set building space, costume and set storage, wings off the stage and the list goes on.     Read More >>

  04/13/2017 Reinhardt performing arts student sing their way to nationals
Reinhardt University students once again were honored for their talent with many qualifying for the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition. Music students competed in Atlanta March 24-25 in the Southeastern Regional NATS (SERNATS) competition. Students were led by music faculty Dr. Reverie Berger, assistant professor of music, Dr. Rebecca Salter, associate professor of music-applied voice, Dr. Cory Schantz, assistant professor of music-voice, and Dr. Anne Schantz, assistant of music-applied voice.     Read More >>

  04/13/2017 MBA grad shares insights on conflict management with Reinhardt students
Everyone will face conflicts at work or at home in life, something Ann Bailey ’10 helped provide tools for during a Strategic Career Advantage Platform (S-CAP) workshop Saturday at Reinhardt University. S-CAP is a new certificate series at Reinhardt University initiated by President Dr. Kina S. Mallard. The first sessions began in Fall 2016.   04/08/2017 Bad weather does not put damper on Spring Day
Rain and heavy wind would not stop Reinhardt University from celebrating Spring Day April 6, as festivities continued in the Brown Athletic Center gymnasium. Spring Day is an annual day in April when classes are cancelled and students can have fun before the busiest time of the year arrives. “It gives students a break from classes during the month of April because all papers and tests are due,” student Bill Hess said.     Read More >>

  04/04/2017 The 'Hardt Breakers sell out Flint Hall, raise money for local children
For their last concert with the group they founded, Natalie Beaty and Laura Sellers wanted to go big. Using connections from their curriculum studies, not only were the junior music education majors able to put on a sell-out performance in Flint Hall at the Falany Performing Arts Center, they also were able to raise about $800 for the Children’s Haven. The ‘Hardt Breakers, the student-run all female a cappella group, filled the 350-seat Flint Hall Friday night with a free admission concert – while vases out front collected donations for the Children’s Haven.     Read More >>

  03/31/2017 Dr. Beth Bowser honored as Distinguished Alumna of the Year
Dr. Beth Bowser has led a life of education and service since she graduated from Reinhardt in 1968 – dedication and accomplishments that have earned her the 2017 Distinguished Alumna of the Year Award. “Being named the Distinguished Alumna of the Year is a great honor and one that was totally unexpected,” Bowser said. “It also is humbling, especially when I look at the list of past recipients and what they have accomplished in their lives and how they have supported Reinhardt. To be included in this group truly is surprising. And, there are no words that adequately express my appreciation for this award. At least I haven't found them, yet! Reinhardt University will host its 29th annual Dave Henritze Scholarship Golf Classic at the beautiful Capital City Club - Crabapple on May 2. “The Dave Henritze Scholarship Golf Classic has provided more than $3 million in scholarships for Reinhardt University students,” said Dale Morrissey, director of development and external relations for Reinhardt. “We are excited to host this year’s tournament at Capital City Club – Crabapple in Milton.
