Sexual Assault Prevention and Alcohol Awareness

This page provides students with the opportunity to learn about Sexual Assault and Bystander Prevention, as well as education surrounding alcohol awareness. b As part of Reinhardt’s comprehensive approach to alcohol education and sexual violence prevention, it is REQUIRED that all new incoming students (Freshmen, Transfers, Online and Graduate students) complete targeted online wellness and prevention courses.

Sexual Assault Prevention, Hazing Prevention and AlcholEDU

Traditional students (i.e., main-campus undergraduate and duel/joint enrolled students) will be required to take and complete two courses: AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention.

• Traditional students will also be required to take a 34 minute course: Hazing Prevention.

• Nontraditional students (i.e., graduate, professional, online, and adult learners) will be required to take and complete one course: Sexual Assault Prevention.

Bystander Intervention

Traditional Students

Starting in Fall 2022, incoming freshmen who are registered for their First Year Seminar (FYS) will attend a workshop on the first Friday of class. In this workshop, bystander Intervention Presentation will be introduced, and will allow the students to partake in exercises to understand the importance of the awareness strategies taught during the workshop.

Non-Traditional Students

Starting in Fall 2022, incoming freshmen who are registered for their First Year Seminar (FYS) will be provided the workshop online. To ensure that students participate in the workshop, they will be graded on their knowledge on the presentation and responses will be sent to their professors by the Prevention and Health Promotion Director.
