The Commencement (or graduation) ceremony is held only at the end of spring semester. All degree requirements must be met at the end of spring semester to participate in commencement.

A Baccalaureate service is held the evening before Commencement.

Attendance at these ceremonies is expected of all graduates.

Graduation Application: A student who has attained 85 earned hours may request a graduation audit from the Office of Records, Registration and Advisement by submitting the Application for Graduation.

To be eligible to graduate, a prospective graduate for the current academic year must:

  1. Return the completed application for graduation by the specified deadline date

Please send it to:   the Office of Records, Registration and Advisement
    (main floor, Burgess Administration Building)

    mailing address:
Office of Records, Registration and Advisement
    Reinhardt College
    7300 Reinhardt College Circle
    Waleska, GA 30183-2981

It is due no later than the end of drop/add two terms preceding the anticipated degree completion date.

    These specific deadline dates are:
    Spring 2008 graduates:      August 24, 2007
    Summer 2008 graduates:   January 11, 2008
    Fall 2008 graduates:           May 7, 2008
    Spring 2009 graduates:      August 29, 2008
    Summer 2009 graduates:   January 9, 2009
    Fall 2009 graduates:           May 6, 2009

  2. Pay the graduation fee.

If the application for graduation is turned in to the Office of Records, Registration and Advisement by the deadline above, the graduation fee is $75.  This fee must accompany the application for graduation when it is received by the Records Office.

If the application for graduation is turned in after the stated deadline, a $25 late fee is added, thus the late graduation fee totals $100.

This early application timeframe enables the Director of Records, Registration and Advisement to compare the prospective graduate’s transcript to the requirements of his or her degree program. Any problems noted during this transcript audit are brought to the student’s attention.

It is the student’s responsibility to correct irregularities and deficiencies by providing missing transcripts, obtaining course substitutions and making schedule changes needed to successfully complete the course of study.
