The George M. Lawson Academic
Center, the Fred H. and Mozelle Bates Tarpley Education Center
and the Samuel C. Dobbs building contain classrooms, with each
room seating about 30 people. There are some computer labs as
well. Televisions, VCRs and Power Point capability is available.
The Floyd A. and Fay W. Falany Performing Arts Center contains
classrooms, choral and instrumental rehearsal halls and studios
as well as a concert hall seating 375 people. Special
arrangements are required for use of this building.
The main gym is located in the James and Sis Brown Athletic
Center. Recent renovations expanded the gym, doubling its
seating capacity to 1000. Adjacent to the main gym is a practice
gym located in the Joseph W. Baxter Recreation Center. The
complex also houses two classrooms. In addition to these indoor
amenities, a general recreational field and four tennis courts
are available for outdoor fun.
The W. Frank and Evelyn J. Gordy
Center houses the main dining facility, which seats up to 300.
Two small meeting rooms are on the second floor. The dining hall
staff serves three meals daily and can also cater receptions,
provide coffee breaks and snacks as well as cookouts to make
your function a success.
Three residence halls, Cobb Hall, Herbert I. And Lilla
W. Gordy Hall and Roberts Hall, accommodate 260 people in double
occupancy rooms. We also offer apartment-style residence
halls with 200 beds.
