Perspectivas: Insights for a
Better Society
Perspectivas is an annual compilation of
articles. Recent editions have supported the current "Year
of" emphasis area. Since its inception as a publication
affiliated with the College's diversity committee in 2001, it
has been coordinated and edited by Dr. Aquiles E. Martinez,
Associate Professor of Religion. The editorial team also
includes Laura M. Demain, Susan Lester, Dr. Margaret Morlier and
Dr. Donna Coffey.
The Purpose of Perspectivas
Seeking to create a world of
love, peace, equality, and justice, Perspectivas provides a
forum for diverse, communal reflections at Reinhardt College.
Therein, our students, staff, and faculty, based on their
experiences and knowledge, offer their insights on a plethora of
values, ideas, and behaviors we must listen to in order to
improve human relations here and abroad. After all, education
should always help us improve the quality of life, and we are
all part of this endeavor.
Issue # 5 of Perspectivas: Insights for a
Better Society honors the peoples, lands, cultures, and
histories of Africa.
