Graduation: $250

In spring semester of the last year of study, students are required to apply for graduation.  The graduation fee helps
offset costs associated with binding the student’s thesis, ordering diplomas, and costs of a commencement event
specifically designed for students of the MFA program.  For the 2018 commencement, the graduation fee is
    due January 22, 2018.

Books
MFA students should expect to acquire and read 15-20 books per semester.  Reinhardt encourages students
to seek out best prices for books and consider loaning books from local libraries.  Texts will be available for
purchase or rent via the Reinhardt University bookstore.

Travel
MFA students will be required to travel to and from Reinhardt’s main campus (7300 Reinhardt Circle, Waleska, GA 30183)
for one Orientation and Summer Residency, plus two additonal Summer Residencies.  Students should factor costs for
    travel into their total budget.

Miscellaneous Fees
    Returned Check Charge:  $25
    Official Transcript Fee, per copy:
$5
    Late Graduation Fee (+$25):
$275

NOTE: Tuition and fees are subject to change.  Reinhardt University’s Board of Trustees decides on tuition and fee changes
typically six-months before implementation. If changes occur, they will be reflected on this webpage.

Financial Aid

All Master of Fine Arts students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible.  In order to be eligible for federal loans, you must complete the FAFSA, be admitted to the University, and be identified as a matriculating student in Reinhardt University’s MFA program.

Access FAFSA by clicking this link: https://fafsa.ed.gov/.  When prompted, enter Reinhardt University’s School Code: 001589.

Students who hold undergraduate federal loans may be eligible for interest-free loan deferrals. Be sure to contact the Reinhardt University Financial Aid Office early in the admission process to understand aid that will be available to you as a graduation student: 770-720-5667 or financialaid@reinhardt.edu.

For MFA students who are currently employed, we encourage you to visit with your organization’s Office of Human Resources to inquire about tuition reimbursement plans for employees and to alert them to your intent to pursue graduate studies at Reinhardt University.

Graduate students enrolled in the Etowah Valley Writers Low-Residency MFA in Creative Writing at Reinhardt University are considered full-time students when they enroll in seven (7) credit hours or more.  Students who enroll in fewer than seven credits are advised to speak with a Financial Aid Counselor to understand federal aid consequences.

MFA students are also eligible to sign up for Reinhardt University’s Tuition Payment Plan.  In order to do this, you must enroll with Tuition Management Systems (https://reinhardt.afford.com/) prior to the start of classes.  For more information about the monthly payment option, please call the Business Office at 770-720-5520 or 770-720-5519.
