Police Academy Entrance Requirements

Begin Your Law Enforcement Career at Reinhardt University

Minimum Requirements for Entry into the Police Academy    

1. Be at least 18 years of age;
2. Be a citizen of the United States;
3. Have a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent;
4. Not have been convicted of any felony violation of law;
5. Not have been convicted of sufficient number of misdemeanors which establishes a pattern of disregard for the law;
6. Be fingerprinted for the purpose of conducting a fingerprint search to determine the existence of any criminal record;
7. Possess good moral character as determined by a background investigation;
8. Be found free from any physical, emotional or mental conditions which might adversely affect one’s ability to perform the duties of a peace officer;
9. Successfully complete a job related academy entrance examination;
10. Meet Reinhardt University’s admission requirements.
