Stephane Dunn, MA, MFA, PhD (Un. of Notre Dame), is a writer and associate professor. She is the director of the Morehouse College Cinema, Television, & Emerging Media Studies program (CTEMS). She authored the 2008 book, Baad Bitches & Sassy Supermamas: Black Power Action Films (U of Illinois Press. Her comments and writings have appeared in national media, including The Atlantic, NPR, LA Times.com, MSNBC.com, TheRoot.com, CNN.com, Ms. magazine, The Chronicle of Higher Education, Best African American Essays 2009, edited books. She co-wrote and co-produced the first-place short film in the 2013 Georgia Lottery- Bronze Lens Film Festival Lights, Camera, competition and co-wrote & produced a second short film for the City of Atlanta. She is the 2016 winner of the Eleanor Bland Crime Fiction Writers of Color award for her current novel manuscript.
