Master of Fine Arts Visiting Lecturer

Tanya Caldwell
Tanya Caldwell hails from New Zealand through Canada (PhD University of Toronto). She is Professor of English at Georgia State University, where she is heavily involved in the graduate program and Study Abroad. She has published numerous books and articles on various aspects of seventeenth and eighteenth-century British literature and culture, and is currently working on a biography of the late eighteenth-century playwright, Hannah Cowley. This project and her abiding interest in the literature of post-colonial countries, particularly New Zealand and Canada, have induced her to teach classes and undertake projects in biography, autobiography, and questions of individual and collective identity.
