Reinhardt University’s Center for Innovative Teaching and Engaged Learning (CITEL) presents its inaugural Teaching and Learning Conference on June 17-18 on Reinhardt’s beautiful campus.

The conference, MIXER 2021: Ctrl + C -> What We Learned, is intended to bridge communications between secondary and post-secondary institutes.

When the abrupt transition to online learning occurred, all educators were forced, by necessity, to learn new tools and pedagogies. We will reflect on a year of innovation by necessity moving forward, what new tools and pedagogies will you continue to use, even after pandemic restrictions are lifted?

The MIXER, standing for Meeting of Innovative Expert Educators at Reinhardt, will be held at Reinhardt’s Hill Freeman Library with sessions covering a wide variety of topics and networking opportunities.

CITEL provides in-person and online workshops, resources for course planning and instructional design, white papers on innovative instructional practices, and consultation services. CITEL was established by a generous grant from the Goizueta Foundation and manages internal grants made possible by these funds. Learn more about Faculty-Student HIP grants, Teaching and Learning grants, and Program grants. CITEL also coordinates the Reinhardt University QEP, “Where in the World RU Going?”

CITEL celebrates the innovations of the Reinhardt faculty and other area secondary and post-secondary educators through the Academic Conversations Podcast and annually recognizes both professors and students through the Innovative Teaching Award, the Adjunct Teaching Award, and the Engaged Learner Award.

We are excited to see our Center evolve into a hub of conversation centering around innovative teaching practices that engender engaged student learning. We hope that you will continue to join us and be a part of our invigorating discussions.
