Prior to the start of the football game, the Student Government Association will recognize two individuals with the Captain A.M. Reinhardt Award and Jason Gamel Blue and Gold Spirit Award. The Captain A.M. Reinhardt is given by the Student Government Association recognizing an outstanding member of the RU staff who has demonstrated his or her devotion to the mission of Reinhardt University. The Jason Gamel Blue and Gold Spirit Award recognizes a faculty or staff member who best shows their pride for Reinhardt through athletic events, student activities, campus involvement and representation of Reinhardt spirit as Jason Gamel ’96 did during his time as a student and staff member at Reinhardt. The awards are nominated by the campus at large and then voted on by the Student Senate.
