Rigorous rehearsals and intensive training not only prepare these students for careers in the field but also improve their ability to communicate effectively\, to think creatively and to collaborate well with others. DESCRIPTION:Out of an abundance of caution\, Reinhardt University will be closed Saturday\, January 31 and Sunday\, February 1. All events and activities\, including athletics (practices and games)\, are cancelled and the Funk Heritage Center is closed. \nResidence halls will remain open for students who are staying on campus. Residence Assistants are on-call to help with resident needs throughout the weekend. In the event of a sustained power outage\, there will be no heat operational in the residence halls. Emergency maintenance response will continue for urgent facilities concerns. \nDining Services will operate on a normal weekend schedule: Saturday and Sunday – Brunch from 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m.; Dinner from 4:30–6 p.m. \nCampus police will continue to provide around-the-clock protection. \nAll extracurricular activities\, including athletics (practices and games)\, are cancelled\, postponed or rescheduled.

DESCRIPTION:At Reinhardt\, we’re made for big moments\, and choosing a major is one of them. For more than 140 years\, Reinhardt students have made this step on their academic journeys\, driven by their unique interests to select academic paths that help them make a mark on the world. Reinhardt is now announcing a new celebration: Major Declaration Day. On Friday\, March 20\, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.\, Reinhardt is inviting you to the McClure Firepit and Patio\, where you can declare your major in person\, meet deans and faculty\, and connect with current Eagles in your major who you will work alongside and build relationships with as you pursue your degree. \nMajor Declaration Day at Reinhardt University is going to be a big deal. It’s a new traditional celebration. It’s a time when Reinhardt recognizes the hard work students put into their education. Your major might be your forever calling\, or it also might just be where you’re discovering yourself right now. But for everyone\, this is a major moment. \nAt this event there will be food\, giveaways\, and official recognition for declaring your major. You will also have an opportunity to take a variety of photos alongside your friends and academic deans and faculty advisers. Each academic school will have a table and banner. Once you choose your path\, you fill out a paper slip and drop it into the flame — a powerful symbol representing the spark of knowledge in their field of study. \nSimply think of Major Declaration Day as connecting the dots between other events and milestones that mark your academic journey at Reinhardt. Major Declaration Day is another shared experience along with such events as the New Student Induction Ceremony and Commencement.
