Narrative
Reinhardt University maintains policies related to academic calendars, grading, and refunds. These policies are widely available to students and the public on Reinhardt University’s official website, the specified webpages for the University’s Registrar Office and Business Office. Reinhardt University implements these policies and publishes them in the University’s Undergraduate Academic Catalog 2016-2017 and the Graduate Academic Catalog 2016-2017. Academic Calendar Grading Policies Reinhardt University’s grading policies, established through faculty governance with administrative approval, adhere to accepted post-secondary grading standards. [8] These grading policies are included in the Reinhardt University Undergraduate Academic Catalog 2016-2017 and the Graduate Academic Catalog 2016-2017, which are published on the University’s website. The Undergraduate Academic Catalog 2016-2017 includes information about grades and notations, how to calculate grade point average, and how to resolve an incomplete (I) grade. [9] The Catalog also publishes information about grades and academic performance, possibly leading to academic warning. [10] In addition, the University published policies for dropping a course, [11] appealing a grade, and withdrawing from the University. [12] The Graduate Academic Catalog 2016-2017 includes information about grade notations, grades and academic performance, grade appeals and the polices for dropping a course. [13] In addition to the academic catalogs, grading policies are included and published on individual faculty course syllabi, like the following: ENG 101 (first year English syllabus) [14] EDU 550 (a graduate syllabus),[15] and CRJ 300 (an online course). [16] Refund Policies Reinhardt University’s refund policies adhere to federal government and institutional business policies. The official refund policies apply to undergraduate and graduate students and are made available to students and the public on the Reinhardt University Business Office website and the Reinhardt University Undergraduate Academic Catalog 2016-2017 and the Graduate Academic Catalog 2016-2017. [17] [18] [19] Conclusion Through its official website, its academic catalogs, and course syllabi, Reinhardt makes available to students and the public current academic calendars, grading policies, and refund policies.
