Two Reinhardt professors will bring their talent and knowledge to audiences in other states, with the help of financial awards by the University’s Faculty Development Committee (FDC). The FDC promotes professional development and celebrates faculty accomplishments and the impact of their work, including initiatives to enhance their teaching skills, research capabilities, and overall effectiveness within their academic roles.

In the wake of recent California wildfires, on February 16th, Dr. Alex Wasserman, assistant professor of music, will perform Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor at a disaster relief fundraiser in Los Angeles. This distinguished performance as a soloist with the Pacific Palisades Symphony Orchestra intends to bring respite and hope amid the region’s devastation.

A grant awarded to Dr. Susana Solomon, professor of psychology, supports her travel to present on March 21st at the 2025 Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS) International Conference in Denver, Colorado. At the conference, her presentation titled “Unlock the Power of Metaphors in Therapy,” provides insights to better equips mental health clinicians with linguistic tools and techniques to foster significant and lasting growth in their clients.
