Reinhardt University was a proud sponsor of the 21st Century Leaders 2021 Georgia Youth Leadership Awards on March 25. The fundraising and awards event went virtual this year but did not diminish the excitement in celebrating the leadership achievements of the 21 high school students honored from across the state of Georgia.

The students were recognized for their leadership contributions and in demonstrating the five leadership qualities exemplified by a 21st Century Leader: passionate, forward-thinking, leverages diversity, resourceful and service-oriented.

Dr. Walter May, dean of students, believes the partnership between Reinhardt and 21st Century Leaders is a foundation for excellence.

“Reinhardt is proud and excited to support 21st Century Leaders. This is an incredible organization that works to engage and inspire high school students across Georgia to become leaders in their schools and communities. Their mission fits well with Reinhardt’s mission to educate the whole person and the values of faith, learning and leading.”

Reinhardt has a strong existing connection with 21st Century Leaders with many alums choosing to further their education at Reinhardt, including co-chair of the event and board member, Maria Flores-Blackburn. May continues to see a pathway for 21st  Century Leaders students to attend Reinhardt upon their high school graduations.

“Reinhardt has had several 21st Century Leaders attend Reinhardt over the years, and they came to Reinhardt with so much passion, confidence and skills received through their experience with 21st Century Leaders. Each student made a positive impact and left a legacy here at Reinhardt,” said May.

Congratulations to all the honorees and award winners! We look forward to supporting the 21st Century Leaders in their continued education and professional growth.
