Reinhardt University receives EVERFI Seal of Prevention

At Reinhardt University, safety and health are among the top priorities when it comes to Reinhardt Eagles. Receiving the Campus Prevention Network Seal of Prevention is a testament to this value.

EVERFI is a digital learning platform that provides online courses for college students, including topics of prevention and wellness. Reinhardt University earned EVERFI’s Campus Prevention Network (CPN) Seal of Prevention as a result of Reinhardt student participating in a series of online trainings.

“I am proud of the efforts of our campus community to achieve this award and we will remain committed to creating a safe campus for our students, faculty and staff, and broader community,” said Dr. Walter May, dean of students. “We are grateful for our partnership with EVERFI as we not only want to ensure our students get the best education possible, but that they are also prepared and supported with the information and skills needed to have a healthy experience while enrolled at Reinhardt.”

Reinhardt University continues to take a proactive, comprehensive approach to education and supporting the whole student. These efforts allow Reinhardt to create an environment where each student thrives.

“Alcohol, drugs, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking are problems on every campus and in every community. While Reinhardt is not immune from these issues, we truly believe that with appropriate and proactive prevention strategies we can work towards creating a safe and healthy community,” said May.

Reinhardt requires students to participate in online training programs as they start their time on campus. Other events and programs are put in place through Student Affairs and the Student Health Center to continue the investment in prevention education, such as the Student Health Fair.

“We want the campus experience at Reinhardt to be a positive learning experience in and out of the classroom,” said May. “These programs help us build a strong community and help students navigate their college experiences.”

The CPN Seal represents the highest standard for online prevention education, with a rigorous set of criteria to ensure there is a measurable impact made across the critical health and safety areas of sexual assault, alcohol and drug misuse, mental health, and diversity and inclusion.
