In an effort to make graduate education readily available to all of Cherokee County and its surrounding counties, Reinhardt University, in partnership with Chattahoochee Technical College, will offer the Master of Business Administration at CTC’s Woodstock Campus.

An information session and open house will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 6-7:30 p.m., at the Woodstock Campus of CTC located at 8371 Main Street.

Dr. Mark A. Roberts, Reinhardt’s vice president and dean for academic affairs, said the program and location open up opportunities for working adults in the area and beyond.

“Reinhardt University is so pleased to offer the MBA program for working adults at the renovated Woodstock campus of Chattahoochee Technical College,” Roberts said. “We deeply appreciate the strong partnership that Reinhardt has with Chattahoochee Tech to offer quality educational programming to residents in and around Cherokee County.”

Dr. Ron Newcomb, president of Chattahoochee Technical College, said continuing cooperation of entities in the community is fostering a greater sense of support for those looking to continue their education.

“Depending on the program of study, residents of Cherokee County could get their complete college experience, from core courses at Chatt Tech, through MBA at Reinhardt, without leaving the county,” Newcomb said. “This is, yet again, one more sign of community cooperation in the best interest of students, which is the hallmark of relationships in Cherokee County.”

Dr. Trina Boteler, of Chattahoochee Technical College, recognized that the partnership between the two institutions of higher education benefits those in Cherokee and the surrounding areas.

“Chattahoochee Technical College is pleased to continue our very strong partnership with Reinhardt University.  Our two institutions provide excellent programs and facilities through which the citizens of Cherokee County and surrounding counties can pursue their higher education and workforce development goals,” Boteler said. “The recent re-opening of Chattahoochee Tech’s Woodstock Campus has allowed program offerings in the county that will be closely tied to the Cherokee County Office of Economic Development, which is located on that campus. The addition of Reinhardt’s MBA program to the Woodstock Campus will further support the economic growth of the area.”

This is a continuing partnership between Reinhardt University and Chattahoochee Technical College, as Reinhardt’s MBA program has been offered for two years at CTC’s Canton Campus.

Dr. Dana Hall, director of Reinhardt’s MBA program, said the program, which will offer evening classes, is geared toward the working individual who is looking to further his/her career.

“The people who come seeking their MBA at Reinhardt are people looking for advancement in their careers,” Hall said. “An MBA is a signal to employers that this individual has learned more extensively about the practice of business with more training and exposure.”
