Enactus Team Competition

Enactus Team Competition

The Enactus team competition is a series of competitions where students have 20 minutes to utilize their public speaking abilities to present the results of their year long projects to Enactus partner judges.  The judges are derived of business leaders of prominent companies such as Home Depot, AFLAC, Walgreens, etc.  Enactus teams have the opportunity to compete at the regional level and, if they are successful, move on to national, international, and even world competition.

The competition also has a large job fair sponsored by Enactus partners where students can research job and internship opportunities.  Several Reinhardt graduating seniors have been chosen for interviews and have even been offered multiple jobs from the job fair.  The event is a great way for college students to showcase their work and hopefully find a job to match their skills.

On April 6, 2010, the Reinhardt Enactus team won two awards at the regional competition in Atlanta, Georgia. They placed 1st Runner Up for their league and also received the Rookie of the Year Award. This was the first year that the team presented at a regional competition. Dr. Donald Wilson, interim dean of the McCamish School of Business, summed it up best by saying, “The SIFE team's recent performance at the Regional Competitions was a direct result of the individual team member’s commitment to excellence and a willingness to involve themselves in worthwhile projects with a passion for service to others. Plus, the student’s ability to transfer learning from the classroom to real-world projects and lots of practice in communicating the results of the organization's efforts, contributed to the team's successful performance in placing at their first competition.”
