Housing Selection at Reinhardt University

The Housing Selection Process is for any student who is already taking classes at Reinhardt University and is interested in living on campus next year. The application goes live Monday, Mar 30 at noon.  Fill out the form online at link https://www.reinhardt.edu/student-life/housing-selection-ru. To participate in Room Selection, you must complete your application by your assigned time.

Your room selection time slot is determined by the amount of credits you have attained. This is the "selection" part of the process, where you get to pick the room you want to live in for the following year. during your class time slot you will be able to choose your room based on your credits:

 

Rising Seniors (90+ credits) Applications Due: Wednesday, April 15th by 5pm
Rising Juniors (60+ credits) Applications Due: Thursday, April 16th by 5pm
Rising Sophomores (0+ credits) Applications Due: Friday, April 17th by 5pm

 

Want to live with friends?!!  You also have the opportunity to form groups and pull in friends to your rooms, suites or apartments. Make sure that all of your friends meet the building requirements AND have applied for housing!

The Housing Selection Process is not the only way you can sign up to live on-campus. If you miss the deadline, don't worry!  You can still fill out a Housing application. It just means that you cannot participate in selecting your own room, because you will be assigned instead to one of the remaining available spaces at the time you apply.  What are you waiting for?! YES! This is called squatting and will end on Friday, April 10th, at Noon. Late applications for squatting will not be accepted.

April 2 during Spring Day! The residence life team will be working out of the Bannister Glasshouse. We are working on a first come, first serve basis, during your class time slot you will be able to choose your room based on your credits:

    • Rising Seniors (at least – Credits):            4/2/2020 10AM-11:30AM
    • Rising Juniors (at least – Credits):            4/2/2020 12PM-1:30PM
    • Rising Sophomores (at least – Credits):    4/2/2020 1:30PM-3PM

Be sure to speak with a financial aid counselor before moving off campus. Students will have to contact Residence Life to complete an Off-Campus Verification Form.

The apartments are very popular at the Reinhardt Campus! The apartment option is available for students who have a 2.75 GPA and 30 credit hours. Make sure to apply for housing before the deadline!

NOTE - Housing Selection is on a first come, first serve basis. If you have senior credits, but wait too long to complete the application, the chance of getting an apartment will be much lower.

Yes. Single/private rooms are very sparse on the RU campus, so it is very difficult to get assigned to one. If you have a severe medical condition that requires you live alone, please email Student Services at aaa@reinhardt.edu.

If you can not attend housing selection, make sure you have done the steps below and have a friend Proxy for you on the day of! Make sure to email reslife@reinhardt.edu so that we know that you will have a friend speak on your behalf the day of.

  • Apply for housing before the deadline
  • Email Reslife@reinhardt.edu explaining that you will not be attending housing selection, but your friend, John Doe, Student ID (654123) will proxy for you.
  • MAKE SURE YOUR FRIEND ATTENDS HOUSING SELECTION!

If you don’t have a roommate in mind, don’t worry! We will place you with another student who also doesn’t have a roommate– it’s quite common.

Did you miss your housing selection deadline? That’s okay! You can still live on campus! Please apply for housing. The preferences you list on your Housing Application are guidelines that our staff looks at while making your room assignment. As our staff processes the applications in the order they are received, we can't guarantee you'll be assigned to any of your preferences if space is not available at the time your application is processed.
