Honor Cords

Reinhardt University awards Latin honors to baccalaureate degree graduates.  Summa cum laude, magna cum laude and cum laude honors will be determined by the overall cumulative grade-point averages (GPA) (including course work attempted prior to enrolling at Reinhardt) at the end of Spring 2019 Session I/end of Mid-Fall 2018 Session II grade processing. 

Graduates receiving Latin Honors will be notified by letter. 

Honorees will wear an honor cord with their regalia at the baccalaureate and commencement ceremony.

Honor cords distribution - The Registrar's Office will distribute honor cords from April 15 - May 1.

Honor cords will not be distributed on the morning of commencement.

Latin honors, are as follows:

  • Summa cum laude (3.90 - 4.00)
  • Magna cum laude (3.60 - 3.89)
  • Cum laude (3.30 - 3.59)
