Professor of Biology Zach Felix now serves as interim dean for Reinhardt’s College of Humanities, Sciences, and Technology. The role became vacant following Dr. Ken Wheeler’s appointment to the role of interim vice president of academic affairs on July 1, 2025.
“Dr. Felix is respected and appreciated by Reinhardt faculty members, is beloved by his present and former students, and is revered by field biologists across the region as a leading researcher,” stated Reinhardt President Mark Roberts, Ph.D. “I am confident that Dr. Felix’s academic achievements, his student-centered focus, and collegial approach to problem solving will lead the College of Humanities, Sciences, and Technology with quality and integrity.”
Dr. Felix has served Reinhardt since 2008, including as the biology program coordinator for over 10 years. He responded, “Anyone who knows me will tell you that I love Reinhardt and its people. It is an honor for me to accept this position, and I promise to do my very best to encourage excellence in teaching and learning.”
