Homecoming and Family Weekend united the Reinhardt community on October 18, 2025, for a day filled with festivities, highlighted by a 35–12 victory from the Eagles football team. The day kicked off with “Discover Reinhardt,” where hundreds of prospective students explored campus life and academic opportunities. The energy carried over into a lively BBQ tailgating party, complete with booths filled with representatives from the Alumni Board of Governors, academic departments, and student organizations.

A pregame celebration on the field included the Student Government Association presenting two distinguished awards on behalf of the student body. Lauren Woods (RU-2023), Reinhardt’s health and student activities coordinator, received the Jason Gamel Blue and Gold Spirit Award for her pride and participation in campus life. Jay Duncan, Reinhardt’s Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police, received the Captain A.M. Reinhardt Award, which recognizes his dedication to the mission, purpose, and life of the University.

As the Eagles quickly took the lead and fans packed the stands, halftime brought even more excitement. The Screaming Eagles marching band and color guard delivered a dynamic performance. Cheers continued as the Homecoming Court was introduced, culminating in the crowning of Hayden Laney (RU-2026) and Marquia White (RU-2026) as king and queen. That evening, men’s and women’s soccer took to the field to conclude the day’s events.

“Reinhardt’s Homecoming and Family Weekend was a wonderful success,” reflected Dr. Walter May, dean of students. “Throughout the week the campus was full of activities bringing the Eagles together to celebrate our shared pride and community. The vibrant week included a variety of engaging and spirited events making it an unforgettable occasion for students, families, alumni, faculty, and staff alike. Homecoming is a reminder that there’s truly no place like Reinhardt.”
