Soar with Madison Hasty (RU-2026).
A special Reinhardt University delegation visited R.M. Moore Elementary School on October 17, 2025. The visit, organized by student teacher Madison Hasty (RU-2026), featured Dean of Students Dr. Walter May and the University’s eagle mascot, “Soar,” who read to the entire second-grade class.
The young students listened intently to every word of How Full is Your Bucket (Simon and Schuster, 2020). “It is important at all ages to know it is okay to not have a full bucket all the time,” Hasty explained.
This special program succeeded on many levels. “Read-a-louds help students build fluency, reading comprehension, and expand on their vocabulary,” stated Hasty. “I love being able to help students become excited about the community they live in and being able to bring communities together!”
