Reinhardt President Mark A. Roberts, Ph.D., served as a featured speaker and panelist at the Innovation and Public-Private Partnership in Higher Education (P3•EDU) Conference, held at Georgia Tech University on November 3-5, 2025. The event drew attendees from more than 200 colleges and Universities nationwide.
P3•EDU, held annually, brings together higher education leadership and executives from government, associations, foundations, and corporations to exchange best practices and approaches to public-private partnerships. Through innovative strategies, discussions, and networking opportunities, the event supports institutions in achieving their goals.
Roberts contributed an institutional perspective on the panel titled “Leveraging Shared Services in Higher Education Through Public-Private Partnerships.” He discussed how universities can balance collaboration and operational efficiency with the preservation of their unique identity, mission, and community ties.
“Any shared service that a college or university enters must serve the mission and align with the vision,” Roberts explained to the audience. “At Reinhardt University, we have a relationship with Rize Education to offer a selection of shared online courses that are of high market value. This partnership arrives through Reinhardt’s membership in the Low-Cost Models for Independent Colleges Consortium. As like-minded institutions, we collaborate to determine how to expand our curricula to offer more opportunities to our students. As leaders who serve our students, we must be engaged in how these shared services operate and the experiences they provide. We then amplify the positives and problem-solve the weaknesses. It is key to have a partner that is open to these conversations and willing to learn and adapt with you.”
Roberts’ participation at P3•EDU highlights the University’s commitment to innovative collaboration and its dedication to advancing student opportunities through purposeful partnerships.
