Honoring Excellence in Biological Sciences

The prestigious Beta Beta Beta (TriBeta) National Biological Honor Society inducted twenty Reinhardt undergraduates on February 23, 2026. This society recognizes students who are passionate about and excel in biology and life sciences.

“TriBeta is a century-old society dedicated to advancing biological understanding,” Guest Speaker Natalee Gordon, DMD (RU-2016) explained to the inductees. “As educated individuals, you carry an additional responsibility not to be perfect, not to know everything, but to remain teachable, to remain rigorous and to remain ethical. And most importantly, to remain brave – brave enough to change your mind when evidence changes, brave enough to admit uncertainty, brave enough to pursue excellence without burning out, brave enough to define success on your own timeline.”

Dr. Gordon’s inspirational words continued, “The future is in you. Remember time does not define you. Information does not define you. Other people’s expectations do not define you. Your integrity defines you. Your discipline defines you. Your willingness to think critically and act ethically defines you. The world does not need just more scientists. It needs thoughtful ones. Keep asking why.”

With their proud families attending in support, the inductees followed by reciting and signing the official pledge into the University’s Psi Phi chapter. Their TriBeta membership displays their commitment to improving understanding and appreciation of the life sciences and to extending the boundaries of human knowledge.
