For the third consecutive year, the Reinhardt Esports Club is going head-to-head against other colleges in the region. Esports is a growing industry that promotes competition, collaboration, and skill development. The University’s team offers high-level online competitions for its members who have a passion for gaming.
Over the past four weeks, the Reinhardt Rocket League won three of its first four matchups in the Play Vs College League (PCL). They beat Ferris State University, Norwich University, and the University of St. Francis, and currently sit in first place.
The team competes every Tuesday in the Rocket League game within the Player vs College League (PCL). They practice and compete in Canton, Georgia, in the Reinhardt Room Esports Lab within the G. Cecil Pruitt Family YMCA. Because all their matches are live-streamed, other students tune in to offer support.
“Through our YMCA partnership, Reinhardt Esports has been able to take it up a notch in competition with practicing and competing together,” stated Reinhardt’s Coach and Sponsor Rebecca Worsham, Associate Director of Student Activities. “We are continuing to build momentum, bringing together students who thrive on teamwork, strategy, and high-level play. They are doing a great job and I am proud of the work that they are putting in.”
Logan Ray (RU-2025 & 2026), Rocket League Team Captain reflected, “It is nice to have the experience of meeting new people, building those relationships, and competing in a game we love.”
In April, the club plans to attend GameFest 2026 at Georgia Tech to compete in games including Rocket League, Super Smash Bros, and Mario Kart.
