Lehigh Carbon Community College

In a formal ceremony on March 29, 2026, Reinhardt University inducted 15 outstanding students into the Georgia Mu Chapter of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. Reserved for those who represent the top ten percent of their class, Alpha Chi recognizes remarkable academic achievement as well as the integrity and character that define true scholarship.

Selected through faculty invitation, the distinction reflects dedication, curiosity, and the beginning of a lifelong commitment to intellectual growth and meaningful service.

The ceremony was rich in symbolism and tradition. New members pledged to uphold the Society’s core values, and lit candles representing the enduring pursuit of knowledge. They signed the official constitution, underscoring their entry into a society bound by scholarship, integrity, and purpose. The presentation of Alpha Chi pins served as a lasting emblem of their accomplishments and promise.

“Being inducted into Alpha Chi is very meaningful to me,” stated Braniff Mahoney (RU-2026). “I have worked consistently to perform at a high level in the classroom, and being selected for Alpha Chi represents an acknowledgment of that effort. It is rewarding to be part of a community that values scholarship and academic excellence, and it motivates me to continue striving for success in my studies and future career.”

Founded in 1922 as a cross-disciplinary honor society, Alpha Chi fosters a community encouraging scholars to continue leading, serving, and striving for excellence beyond the classroom. Inductee Danielle Lusian says she plans to “bring my passion, my art, and my light out into the world to help it become a better place.”
