Over 60 Reinhardt student-athletes volunteered April 1–2, 2026, at Clayton Elementary School in Canton, Georgia. Members of the Eagles’ football, soccer, lacrosse, basketball, softball, volleyball, and cheerleading teams helped guide youth throughout the school’s annual Field Day.
The spirited event featured a variety of outdoor activities. Elementary students participated in relay-style games, including tug-of-war, cup and box stacking, and sponge races, while Reinhardt athletes offered encouragement and support at each station.
“Seeing my classmates interact with the children of Clayton Elementary was something special,” reflected Abigail Cruz (RU-2026). “The kids lit up when they saw that we were there to hang out with them. It demonstrated us how important it is to show up for and give back to our community and the children within it.”
In the Fall, student-athletes volunteered at Waleska’s R.M. Moore Elementary School Field Day, and the Eagles football team assists with their morning student drop-off. Reinhardt has also partnered with the Cherokee County Disability Awareness Games (CCDA) since 2018. These are just some of the ways Reinhardt Athletics serves the local community throughout the year.
