Welcome to the Funk Heritage Center!

As Georgia’s Official Frontier and Southeastern Indian Interpretive Center, it is our mission to tell the story of the early Appalachian Settlers and Southeastern Indians through educational programming and the collection, care and exhibition of art and artifacts.

The Bennett History Museum houses artifacts from the Hickory Log excavation site in Canton, GA, as well as Native American art from across North America and a one-of-a-kind historic hand tool collection.
We are open to the public Tuesday through Saturday for self-guided tours. Guided tours are available for groups of 10 or more with advanced notice; contact us to schedule one for your group today!
