Focus: ADHD
Degree Emphasis: NONE
Amount: $2,000
The scholarship program is for individuals in the United States who:
- have been diagnosed with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- are accepted to or will be enrolled in a 2- or 4-year Undergraduate Program or a Graduate Program (of one or more years in length) at an accredited college, university, trade school, technical school, or vocational school located in the US
- are under the care of a licensed health care professional for ADHD
P. Buckley Moss Endowed Scholarship
Focus: Language-related learning difference
Degree Emphasis: Visual arts
Amount: $1,500 (renewable)
Criteria for eligibility for the P. Buckley Moss Endowed Scholarship include:
- Graduating high school senior
- Verified specific language-related learning disability
- Verified financial need
- Visual arts talent
- Acceptance to accredited four-year college or university or two-year community college
- Intent to pursue career in a visual arts field
Focus: Learning Disabilities
Degree Emphasis: NONE
Amount: $2,500
The criteria for applying for the RiSE Scholarship Award:
- Must be a current high school, college bound senior who is actively applying to an accredited college or university for the fall semester after they graduate high school
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher on a 4 point scale (or equivalent)
- Must have a documented learning disability, and or an ASD diagnosis
- A diagnosis of ADHD or ADD alone does not qualify
- Must provide a letter of reference from a teacher, high school counselor, or principal of present high school. This may be uploaded with applicant’s name. Please email the website link for the person to upload this during application season. They must use the same link to Drop Box and save under your name.

Degree Emphasis: NONE
Amount: $2,500/yr
Brief Overview: The Anne Ford Scholarship is a $10,000 scholarship ($2,500/year over four years) granted to a graduating high school senior with a documented learning disability and/or ADHD who will be enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program in the fall of 2018.
Michael Yasick ADHD Scholarship
Focus: ADHD
Degree Emphasis: NONE
Amount: $2,000
Brief Overview: The Michael Yasick Scholarship recognizes students diagnosed with ADHD who are accepted to or enrolled in a two- or four-year undergraduate program. The award includes a year of ADHD coaching services to help students with the challenges and opportunities they may encounter in life.
Avonte Oquendo Memorial Scholarship
Focus: Autism
Degree Emphasis: NONE
Amount: $1,000
Brief Overview: Named for a 14-year-old boy with autism who wandered away from school and did not make it home alive, this scholarship is for high-achieving students diagnosed with autism or who have a close family member with autism. Applicants must be currently enrolled or accepted to an accredited university or college.
Organization for Autism Research
Focus: Autism
Degree Emphasis: NONE
Amount: $3,000
Brief Overview: This scholarship program provides $3,000 scholarships to students across the autism spectrum. Applications from persons with an autism diagnosis (DSM-IV or later criteria) pursuing full-time, post-secondary, undergraduate education or vocational-technical training are invited.
American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation
Focus: General disability
Degree Emphasis: Graduate in communication sciences
Amount: $5,000
Brief Overview: Graduate students with a disability who are or will be enrolled in communication sciences and disorders are eligible for this scholarship underwritten by the Leslie Londer Fund. Twenty general scholarships are given.
Baer Reintegration Scholarship
Focus: Bipolar, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder
Degree Emphasis: NONE
Amount: Varies
These scholarships are for persons with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar disorder.
- Applicants must be currently receiving medical treatment for the illness, including medications and psychiatric follow-up.
- Be actively involved in rehabilitative or reintegrative efforts, such as clubhouse membership, part-time work, volunteer efforts or school enrollment or in competitive employment.
- Complete an application package that includes an application form, essay, transcripts (if applicable), recommendation forms from three references and school financial requirements.
Google Lime Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
Focus: Visible or Nonvisible disability
Degree Emphasis: Computer Science
Amount: $10,000
2017 Scholarship Applicants must match the following criteria:
- A current undergraduate, graduate or PhD student enrolled at a university in the U.S. or Canada (freshmen/first years and international students studying in the U.S. or Canada are eligible to apply)
- Continuing current studies or intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full time student in a new program (e.g., graduating and pursuing an advanced degree) at a university in the U.S. or Canada in the 2017-2018 academic year
- Pursuing a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree, or a degree in a closely related technical field (such as software engineering; or electrical engineering with a heavy computer science course load)
- Maintaining a strong academic performance
- A student with a visible or invisible disability (defined as someone who has, or considers themselves to have, a long-term, or recurring, issue that impacts one or more major activities that others may consider to be a daily function); this definition also includes the perception among others that a disability exists. We know that 90% of disabilities on campus are invisible, and candidates with all disabilities are encouraged to apply
- Exemplify leadership and demonstrate a commitment to and passion for computer science and technology
- Previous Google Lime Scholars are unfortunately not able to be considered
Microsoft DisAbility Scholarship
Focus: DisAbility as defined by WHO Degree Emphasis: engineering, computer science, computer information systems, law, business, or a related field (e.g. paralegal, pre-law, finance, business administration, or marketing).
Amount: $5,000
Brief Overview: Awarded to promising high school students with financial need who plan to attend a vocational or academic college. This nonrenewable scholarship is designed for students declaring a major in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, law, business or a related field.
Science Graduate Student Grant Fund
Focus: Students with a disability
Degree Emphasis: science, engineering, mathematics, technology, and pre-medical/dental areas for graduate or professional students with disabilities.
Amount: $1,000
Brief Overview: The Foundation for Science and Disability aims to provide opportunities for graduate and professional students with disabilities pursuing degrees in science, engineering, mathematics, technology and pre-medical/dental areas.
AG Bell College Scholarship Program
Focus: Hearing impaired
Degree Emphasis: ANY
Amount: $2,500-$10,000
Brief Overview: AG Bell Scholarships are merit-based and award selection is highly competitive. On average, about 15% of applicants are selected for an award. While the number and amount of awards varies from year to year, in 2015, twenty awards were made ranging from $2,500 to $10,000. Financial need has little impact on award selection; rather, the selection committee is looking for strong leaders with academic excellence and great character. Applicants may receive a total of two awards through the AG Bell College Scholarship program.
Sertoma Scholarship for the Hard of Hearing or Deaf
Focus: Hard of Hearing/Deaf
Degree Emphasis: ANY
Amount: $1,000
Brief Overview: This scholarship for students with a minimum 40dB bilateral hearing loss in both ears may be used to cover tuition, books and supplies. Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree on a full-time basis at a college or university in the U.S.
