Music Performance Programs at Reinhardt University

The Bachelor of Music Performance Program is designed to provide students with extensive training and experience as performers. In addition to the core music courses, students will select an applied area of study from four tracks: Vocal, Piano, Organ, or Instrumental. Graduates of this program may pursue graduate study, offer private studio teaching, or pursue professional performance opportunities.

What You’ll Learn at RU

This degree prepares students for careers in concert or opera performance. While classical training is emphasized, the student will be well-prepared to perform in a variety of styles and genres.

By the time you graduate with a degree in music performance, you will develop:

  • Technical Mastery: Attaining advanced proficiency on their chosen instrument(s) or in vocal technique through rigorous practice and instruction.
  • Artistic Interpretation: Developing the ability to interpret musical scores with nuance, expressiveness, and stylistic authenticity, enhancing their performances’ emotional impact.
  • Stage Presence: Cultivating confidence, poise, and charisma to engage and captivate audiences during live performances.
  • Collaborative Skills: Nurturing the capacity to collaborate effectively with fellow musicians in ensemble settings, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork.
  • Musical Expression: Refining their ability to communicate ideas, emotions, and narratives through music, demonstrating versatility and creativity across a range of musical styles and genres.
