Master of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education
If you want to teach, but your undergraduate degree is in something other than education, Reinhardt’s Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) is for you.
As a cohort program, students who enter the program at the same time take classes together through graduation.
MAT graduates earn a master’s degree and a recommendation for a Georgia Level 5 Certificate in Early Childhood Education (P-5). Both are essential for job applicants seeking to enter the teaching field.
Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings during each eight-week session (two classes per session) for a total of 12 hours per semester. The program spans four semesters, three of which are course work. The final semester is a Clinical Residency (student teaching) with a full-time placement in an elementary classroom.
The MAT is offered at the main campus in Waleska, GA and Forsyth County.
