For more than 30 years, Cherokee Scholars for Reinhardt has continued to enable local students to receive an education through the ongoing support of business and community leaders such as the AT&T Foundation.

Dale Morrissey and Don Barbour

The foundation’s regional director of external affairs, Don Barbour, presented a check for $1,000 to contribute to the scholarship program.

“At AT&T, we are committed to helping people connect with their world and opportunities and resources that make life more fulfilling,” said Barbour. “Our community and state are fortunate to have Reinhardt University’s leadership in offering opportunities for tomorrow’s leaders, and we are proud to support the University’s Cherokee Scholars program, providing support to local students as they strive to meet their educational goals.”

Dale Morrissey, senior director of constituent engagement, is grateful for the continuous contributions from the AT&T Foundation.

“AT&T Georgia has continued to make generous contributions to the University for the past several years,” said Morrissey. “We are grateful for all of our local partners who make it possible for Cherokee County students to achieve their educational goals and dreams.”

Cherokee Scholars for Reinhardt is an annual community initiative that generates grants for Cherokee County students attending Reinhardt University. Since 1988, Cherokee Scholars for Reinhardt has raised more than $5 million in financial assistance for local students.
