Amid witty, fun, and spooky costumes and creatively decorated vehicles, hundreds of trick-or-treaters enjoyed Trunk or Treat on October 30, 2025. The Waleska United Methodist Church and Reinhardt University annually host the event, filled with Halloween excitement.
Student and employee groups, church members, and community organizations hosted dozens of trunks. They competed for the best design, with creative themes including “Back to the 80s,” “Creepy Café,” and “Alice in Wonderland.” Winners included student-created “Hotel Transylvania” named most creative, “Despicable Me” for the funniest, and “Barbie” for the cutest display. The overall winner was a pirate ship, complete with a pirate crew, octopus, mermaid, and treasure chest.
Trick-or-treaters played festive games and collected candy from each vehicle. Attendees also enjoyed hot dogs, popcorn, and cotton candy, handed out by church members, and watching a student make colorful balloon animals for the children.
The annual tradition provides a safe environment to celebrate Halloween and for students to serve the community. An estimated 500 people attended.
