Reinhardt’s Division of Student Affairs values student feedback on its programs, events, and activities. A student life survey, conducted each Fall, provides an opportunity for students to give feedback about campus life. The results offer meaningful insight via trends in student engagement and the level of belonging, which are then used to improve institutional practices and address any issues affecting students.

Some of the Fall 2024 results include (in order of the survey questions):

  • 84 percent feel a sense of pride about the University.
  • 92 percent feel connected to Reinhardt.
  • 84 percent feel they are provided with resources to make healthy life choices.
  • 83 percent feel they have opportunities to enhance their leadership skills.
  • 92 percent say they are provided involvement opportunities including events, organizations, and intramurals.
  • 94 percent are satisfied with the selection of student activities events
  • 95 percent are satisfied with the Student Government Association.
  • 91 percent say residential life promotes a community that encourages individual learning.
  • 87 percent say on-campus housing encourages community development.
  • 77 percent of commuters are satisfied with opportunities for engagement on campus.
  • 90 percent feel Campus Ministries has a positive impact on campus.

The majority of the results showed a positive increase over the previous year. Each Spring, a second survey collects student opinions regarding campus services, which includes the Student Health Center, Vocation and Career Services, and the Office of Public Safety. Dr. Walter May, Dean of Students, elaborated on both surveys saying, “Understanding the student experience and level of satisfaction informs decisions that will make Reinhardt a more student-centered and engaging University. We want to ensure that we are offering our students the best experience possible.”
