Reinhardt’s dance club recently launched its second year with more than double the talent of its inaugural year. Auditions drew a strong interest, yielding a team of thirteen men and women. This semester, they will perform during the halftime of all remaining home men’s and women’s basketball games, starting Wednesday, January 28.
Adjunct Professor for Jazz Jessica Oglesby instructs their choreography and rehearsals. Performances may only last a few minutes, but she ensures the fans will be entertained with creative, high-energy routines.
“The interest this year was really exciting,” stated Assistant Professor of Dance Jamie Trial who established the club during the 2024-2025 academic year. “It started because we had some strong dancers and decided that it would be a good opportunity to provide another performance outlet. It’s an all-around cool, new experience that bridges the gap between the arts and the athletics on campus.”
