Reinhardt alumnus Brett Allen (RU-2025) signed with the Savannah Bananas’ developmental baseball team, “The Visitors.”  The Visitors serve as the minor league training team for the popular Savannah Bananas’ professional exhibition teams. The unique style of playing “Banana Ball” sells out major stadiums nationwide. As opposed to traditional baseball, during the game, players dance, run through the crowd, add silly adornments to their uniforms, and perform humorous antics and physical feats. Additionally, new rules for the game create greater fan involvement and faster gameplay.

Allen was a top-notch pitcher for Reinhardt baseball throughout the past two conference-winning seasons, including a stellar performance during the NAIA World Series. He holds the Eagles’ record for achieving 11 saves in a season, as well as a reputation for his laid-back, comedic style. After playing in the Visitors’ summer games, Allen could be offered a spot on a roster for the Bananas, the Party Animals, the Fire Fighters, or the Texas Tailgaters.

Reinhardt’s Executive Director of Athletics and former baseball head coach Jonathan Burton said, “It is hard to find someone who is as comfortable in big moments as he is—this is exactly where he needs to be. He will flourish, and I look forward to watching him represent Reinhardt baseball on one of the most popular stages right now.”
