Robin McNally

For 25 years, Robin McNally has been inspiring students both inside and outside of the classroom.

Her nearly 40 years of teaching at the college, high school and middle school levels have shown her how important it is for students to understand the concepts of math so they can apply it in every day life.

“I believe mathematics is to be understood and not to be memorized. Everything in life can be modeled by some mathematical function,” said McNally, who studied mathematics at the University of Maryland and Wilmington College.

Along with her teaching schedule, McNally also works in the Academic Support Office to provide services to students who have learning disabilities.

“Robin McNally is a teacher full of compassion and care for her students’ success,” said senior music education major Jacob Mercer. “Her charisma and dedication to the study of math education flow into her students’ desire to learn.”

In her free time, McNally enjoys running in the mornings and in marathons, as well as spending time with her husband, two sons, and their families. Her husband is a Delta pilot, so McNally and her husband travel internationally every summer, including to Australia, Puerto Rico, Italy and Spain. She also enjoys watching the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United and the Atlanta Braves because of how important statistics are in sports.
