The 36th annual Dave Henritze Scholarship Golf Classic raised critical scholarship funds for Reinhardt University students. This year’s event drew dozens of teams and sponsors to Capital City Club Crabapple’s course in Milton, Georgia on May 7th.

This golf classic honors David Henritze (1923-2000) who served as a Reinhardt trustee and was a driving force behind the success of this event for over a decade. Known for his unwavering dedication to helping others and the belief that no one was a stranger, Henritze’s legacy of selfless service continues to inspire the golfers, sponsors, and committee members who support the golf classic that bears his name.

“Like everything Reinhardt does, the golf tournament is a first-class event,” explains long-time committee member Glenn Warren. “Its purpose is to provide much-needed financial aid to students who otherwise may not be able to attend a university like Reinhardt. I am grateful to be able to participate in this event and help raise funding for these students.”

The success of the Henritze Golf Classic wouldn’t be possible without philanthropic support from numerous event sponsors, including Northside Hospital Cherokee. The longtime partnership between Reinhardt and Northside has made a lasting impact on students by allowing them to meet their educational and professional goals.

“Northside and Reinhardt University have maintained a strong, longstanding partnership working together to support student learning and growth,” says Katie Pearson, Director of Operations for Northside Hospital Cherokee. “One of the highlights we look forward to is participating in the annual golf tournament with our RU colleagues. It’s a fun event for our staff and it’s fantastic to see the shared enthusiasm from the community to support Reinhardt and the Dave Henritze Scholarship.”
