Lynda Blackmon Lowery, the youngest participant in the successful civil rights march from Selma to Montgomery is visiting Reinhardt University on February 17th.
Mrs. Lowery’s struggle against prejudice throughout her life has led to a determination in teaching young people the past to ensure the quality of the future for all. In addition to her public speaking engagements, Lowery is also the author of Turning 15 on the Road to Freedom: My Story of the 1965 Selma Voting Rights March and the coproducer of the live gospel musical Turning 15 on the Road to Freedom based on the same memoir.

You are invited to attend the Lynda Blackmon Lowery’s presentation to our campus and community on February 17th at 7pm in the Glasshouse.
