Dear Reinhardt University Community,
As we begin celebrating this holiday season, I hope you will join me in reflecting on the abundance of good that Reinhardt has provided for students and the wider community.
Know, too, that whatever good the University does is due to you – your motivation to be an engaged student, your passion to teach a new generation of leaders, your service to ensure the administrative and essential functions of the University never falter, and your benevolent giving to ensure that the mission “to educate the whole person with challenge and care” is brought to full fruition.
Thank You!
In May 2023, the University graduated over 300 students, many of whom directly stepped into careers as teachers, nurses, and business associates. By August, Reinhardt welcomed nearly 400 new first-time and transfer students to our campus. In October, we invited alumni back to campus during our annual Homecoming weekend where the RU Eagles dominated in multiple athletic competitions. With the close of fall and the beginning of winter, students, faculty, and staff members joined at the festively lighted President’s Home (thank you National Management) for holiday desserts (thank you Metz Dining Services) and to sing carols. In December, the annual Christmas Concert featured the University Wind Ensemble and Choir. And, this year, I had the distinct honor to join our talented students for this annual celebration with a rendition of “The Holly & The Ivy,” brilliantly arranged by Dr. Kerry Bryant.
We all know that the troubled world needs a university like Reinhardt. So, it is a fine thing for our community to meditate during this glorious holiday season on the light that Reinhardt brings to those who are within her sphere of influence. Indeed, through our collective efforts, we establish for today and tomorrow a constructive culture and vibrant community of learning where “Diverse Talents Grow Together” to “Do the Real Work for the Good Life.”
I hope you enjoy the short video that captures the collaborative spirit of Reinhardt’s learning community during the University’s annual Christmas concert. https://www.reinhardt.edu/christmas-video
