All of the May 2025 graduates of the Dr. John A. Cauble School of Nursing and Health Sciences who took the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) exam this summer passed on their first attempt. The success of 19 members of Cohort 12 continues the outstanding achievements of their three preceding cohorts.
Passing the NCLEX exam marks the final requirement to become a licensed registered nurse. Four consecutive cohorts achieved a 100 percent first-time pass rate, a remarkable feat when considering the national pass rate stands at 85.53% over the last four years. Over the life of Reinhardt’s program, seven of twelve cohorts accomplished this feat, and their average pass rate currently stands at 94.77%
“The numbers don’t tell the whole story,” reflected Kimberlin Zelinsky, DNP, dean of the nursing school. “Reinhardt nurses are known in the community for their compassion, professionalism, and commitment to excellence in practice that extends far beyond any test or statistic.”
Exam questions extend beyond recalling facts, with many focusing on critical thinking and critical judgment in real nursing scenarios. The accomplishments by Reinhardt alumni in the field reflect the thorough and practical preparation provided by a university dedicated to delivering exceptional nursing education.
