The free summer garage sale, held by the Price School of Education, was such a success that Reinhardt University was invited to spread the word to others.
At the Georgia Association of Teacher Educators (GATE) conference this week on Jekyll Island, Director of Teacher Education Tami Smith, and Adjunct Professor and Field Director Alison Attavar, were selected to present “Repurposing with Partners.” In front of an interested and excited audience, they told the other colleges how they solicit item donations from teachers and organize and conduct their annual indoor garage sale with no costs involved.
Due to an outpouring of support, the event at Reinhardt this summer helped both alumni and other community educators get much-needed supplies for their classrooms.
